Old Natchez Trace
As the first step in a full masterplan for this equestrian farm in Franklin, TN, we transformed two existing structures into beautifully appointed guest cabins for visitors and guests. The cabins’ modest forms, common with the local vernacular, disguises a collection of charming and elegant furnishings within. As a working farm, the 43-acre property will eventually play host to a new farmhouse, barn, and stables, each inspired by the humble agrarian structures of their context but elevated in their own ways to combine contemporary materials and modern details. Carefully crafted landscapes will unite these structures, forging a heritage estate deserving to be cherished for generations to come.
